Social Responsibility

We have come to create and share well-being with the population.

All in all, with the 400 family members of the small farmers who are members of the PAPEC program, close to 2,500 persons, out of a population of 5,000, are directly dependent on TAMSHI’s positive social and economic impact.

Our 350 employees are the sole economic support of 1,700 relatives, including 500 children. There is a strong sense of personal pride and belonging amongst our workers, the majority of whom were born in the area itself.

We have also created hundreds of indirect jobs locally by developing over 60 local suppliers. Today, almost all of our consumable are bought locally.

TAMSHI is the only source of formal employment in the region, and helps provide better healthcare and education to its employees and their families.

I have a daughter who will become a nurse thanks to the Company and, also two sons who are graduating this year from high school.

Tamshiyacu’s economy has grown positively. There is more economic activity, there is more consumption.
